Gluten-free Country Fried Steak

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cubed steaks
  • 1-1/2 cups of gluten free all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup of milk I use almond milk

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in frying pan on Medium-High
  • Combine Flour and black pepper in shallow bowl. Combine milk and eggs in a separate shallow bowl, stirring with a whisk.
  • First dip steaks in flour mix coat completely. Dip in egg mixture; then dredge again in flour mix coating completely.
  • Fry steaks about 4 minutes per side or until golden brown.

Notes

For Gravy: 4 tablespoons of oil drippings with brown bits from frying pan, 4 tablespoons of gluten free all purpose flour, 1-1/2 cups of milk
Directions:
1.Over medium heat, add flour to oil drippings and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, whisking constantly
2.Add milk slowly while whisking constantly
3.Once desired consistency is achieved reduce heat to low
