Here are a few inspirational quote visuals I created recently. Maybe you will find them inspiring as well!

The first quote I thought was appropriate for the New Year, “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.” -Albert Einstein. I personally hope to take these words to heart and apply them daily.

As you may have noticed I recently changed my blog’s name to Rays of Bliss! As a result, I have been soul searching on what truly brings me bliss. Of course, my husband and boys are the very first thing to come to mind when I think of Bliss (great joy)! Other things I think of are a really good book I just can’t put down, a relaxing massage and cupcakes! I hope you think about what brings you bliss! Also, I hope we all work on savoring those blissful moments. #FollowYourBliss

I love this next quote, “If you stumble, make it part of the dance!” A great reminder that mistakes are okay and can even be blessings.

Finally, “When you love what you have, you have everything you need.” For me this quote helps remind me to live simply and appreciate what I have.

Do your kids like fingerprint crafts? I am sharing the Bugs Fingerprint Art printable guide I created for my boys with you!

Fingerprint art is one of my kids favorite art projects and I like too because it is usually pretty easy to set up and clean up. Lately, my boys love anything bug related and wanted me to show them different bugs to make. Because of their love for fingerprint art and bugs I created a page with several different bugs for them to use as a guide so they can reference while creating their fingerprint bugs on their own. Of course, I’m also sharing these fun bug fingerprint art ideas with you as a free printable guide!

Use this as a guide for your child to look at or let them fingerprint right onto the guide page. To get started you will need paper, a fine tipped marker and colorful stamping inks or finger paint. My boys really love this guide; you can see in the picture above my son did a great job and I love the jar he added to his picture! Another idea is print the guide and display it in your kids room or play room! I hope you enjoy this guide and it helps your little ones create their very own fingerprint bugs!

In my home Christmas decorations go up earlier and earlier each year. I love decorating for the holidays; our Christmas tree is up and Christmas music is playing non-stop.

Christmas Wish List Free Printable ~ 4 Gift Rule

Several years ago I was introduced to the 4 Gift Rule; something you want, something you need, something to wear and something to read. I instantly thought this was a great idea. The 4 Gift Rule method makes gift giving simple and it has really helped my family to stay on budget during the holiday season. I created a Christmas Wish List using the 4 Gift Rule and I am sharing it with you!

If my son has something more expensive on his “want list” then I get him inexpensive items for his “need”, “wear” or “read” gift. I have saved a ton of money by purchasing books from Half Price Books and/or buying a cool shirt from a consignment store or clearance section at Kohl’s (or even better getting shirts for free by using Kohl’s Cash I’ve earned)!

On my Christmas Wish List printable each rule has 4 slots for ideas so you have options to choose from and helps there to be an element of surprise in your gift giving! There is also a section for 1 item they really would love to receive, possibly a Santa gift (if you do Santa). In our home we give a Santa Gift in addition to the 4 gifts from Mom & Dad.

My boys had a great time making their list. We searched Amazon.com and Walmart.com toy sections because you can select age range for ideas. Also, here’s a tip I have been doing the last 2 years; create an Amazon List for each kid using their wish list. You can share it with grandparents and other family members. Even if they do not buy through Amazon they can mark the gift as purchased. Whenever someone asked for gift ideas for my boys I sent them a link.
