With so many kitchen apps and recipes online it makes perfect sense to use my new Intel Tablet for planning meals, organizing grocery lists, reading recipes and more. I now take advantage of the great features of this tablet everyday and can’t believe I ever went without using a tablet in the kitchen!   

Why I love My Intel Tablet In the Kitchen:

The Intel Tablet I received is the Toshiba Encore™ 2. The slim and lightweight design makes it perfect to use on my kitchen counter.  I find my laptop too large to fit on the counter and my phone screen too small to read recipes or watch videos; I definitely prefer using my tablet.  With it’s brilliant 10.1-inch display and ultrafast Wi-Fi®, thanks to the Intel® Atom™ processor, it is the ideal tool to use in the kitchen.  

I can clearly see my recipes and videos on the large and clear screen.  Loading videos and streaming them on this tablet is awesome and no wires needed with it’s Ultrafast Wi-Fi!  Also, the sound is brilliant with the onboard stereo speakers and Dolby® Digital Plus audio.  

The stereo speakers are also great for listening to music while I cook and clean.  I don’t know about you but I have to have my music on while I work.  Actually, the Toshiba Encore™ 2  came preloaded with Xbox® Music & Video so my music was ready to go right out of the box!  Other preloaded apps are Kindle® Reader (for cook books) and Skype™.  You can discover a variety of great apps for your tablet in the Windows Store.  Check out some of my favorite kitchen apps in the this picture below. 

The built-in 1.2MP fixed-focus front webcam and 5MP auto-focus rear camera take amazing photos and video; whether I am making a video or taking photos of my yummy creations or my cute little kitchen helpers.  I can even share videos and photos to social media straight from my Toshiba Encore™ 2 tablet!

To say my family is excited about the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie is really an understatement; we are a die-hard Marvel loving family, so yeah, we are more than ready!  No doubt we are gearing up for the new  MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, coming out on May 1st, and have this week filled with fun activities to prepare ourselves for this awesome movie!  We are talking about movie marathons, Marvel themed snacks, arts, crafts and of course dressing up! 

I headed to our local Walmart to get ready for our MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron week!  Walmart carries a great assortment of Marvel themed products all over their stores; snacks, toys, clothes and party supplies!  It made shopping for our fun week really easy and the prices are always great at Walmart!  To add to the fun of shopping for all our goodies we also got to search for MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron banners all over the store to unlock epic content for the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron app,  Super Heroes Assemble. Super Heros Assemble is available for iTunes and Google Play!  

With Super Heroes Assemble you turn your phone into a portal to exclusive MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron content. This app gives you access to the latest movie and behind-the-scenes action.

Plus, you can scan Avengers displays at Walmart and Walmart.com to become your favorite Avenger, explore a Hulkbuster training facility in a cool 360 degree interactive space and to bring MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron characters to life with augmented reality. My boys are loving the Super Heros Assemble app, especially the Suit Up and the photo opp feature!

It was a lot of fun shopping for all our Marvel gear and looking for these signs and specially marked products to unlock content .  My boys were much better at spotting the banners than me!  We found 2 signs in the toy section, near the Marvel toys, 2 signs in the electronics/DVD section and 1 banner in the grocery section near a Dr. Pepper display.  There were a few banners and products we couldn’t find so we went to Walmart.com when we got home and unlocked the rest of the secret content. 

Next time you head to Walmart I highly recommend downloading the Super Heros Assemble app first, even if you are not gearing up for MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron (but you totally should be!).  You and/or your kids will have so much fun unlocking all the secret content!
