Last week I went to my first blogger event! Yay me for being more social! It was with a group of fabulous DFW TX bloggers at the Sunshine Glaze Creative Studio, in Southlake, Texas. We made a mosaic initial; it was super easy and fun to make!
The Sunshine Glaze Creative Studio is a great place to visit because everyone can be an artist! They have a wide selection of ready to paint pottery, mosaics, glass fusing and mixed media wood art, and this art can be done by the whole family. They even host fun events just for kids and events just for adults monthly. You can even have parties there for kids, adults, bridal showers and more. I can’t wait to go back with my boys; they were a little jealous that I made a craft without them!
My Mosaic Initial:
Sunshine Glaze Creative Studio had everything set up with all the supplies we needed and had many colors of glass, tiles, beads and or baubles to chose from.

All we had to do was glue them down about 1/8 inch apart. I went with green, blue and white glass pieces to match my kitchen.
While working on our crafts we all got to visit and get to know each other. We were even allowed to bring our own snacks and drinks in the studio to share and enjoy while we were being crafty.

It took me about 2 hours to create my masterpiece, that does include me chatting while working. I was given grout and instructions so that I could grout my piece (must wait 24 hours before grouting). They did give the option to leave it there for them to grout and pick up later for a small fee. I opted for the DIY grout because I am pretty darn crafty and can handle a little grout.
See my finished and grouted mosaic initial. I plan on getting a holder for it and putting on top of my kitchen cabinets.
Overall, my first blogger event to attend was great! I really enjoyed meeting all the lovely bloggers from DFW and the experience at the Sunshine Glaze Creative Studio! I can’t wait to take my boys to the Sunshine Glaze Creative Studio and let them make some art! If you will be in or near Southlake, TX I highly recommend checking them out!
Shout out to the lovely ladies I met, Kim @ Mommie Again, Jenn @ JennsRAQ, Lauren @ Will Sing for Makeup, Julie @ Coco and Cocoa, Becky @ The Java Mama, Debra @ A Frugal Friend, Autumn @ Mama Challenge, Addie @ Old World New Girl!
