Are you a Mo Bro or Mo Sista? I am a Mo Sista and my boys are Lil Mo Bros because we care about men’s health and I want all the men in our lives to live happier, healthier, longer lives. By encouraging my husband, Dad, brother and others to participate in Movember we are all supporting and helping fund The Movember Foundation, which in turn, funds over 1,000 programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
The state of men’s health is in a crisis. Simply put, men are dying too young. Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Besides annual check-ups, the Movember Foundation encourages men to be aware of family history of cancer and to adopt a healthier lifestyle. My father and husband both have had health issues that we have deal with, luckily both of them had caught their health issues early so they were treated and managed. Early detection is key for so many health issue, like cancer, so I make sure my husband and family members are getting physicals yearly and going to the doctor when they are having health concerns right away.
I’m also doing my part by sharing Movember post from Lennox social pages. Lennox will donate $2 to men’s health issues for share on Facebook, Twitter and likes on Instagram. Not only am I helping to raise money but I’m sharing important information about men’s health issues.
Lennox and Movember:
Lennox has an annual partnership with Movember in which the brand creates content relevant for their social channels to spread the word and raise awareness about men’s health issues. Dave Lennox, having the great mustache that he does, has been the face of the Movember social campaign over the past few years.
For every content share/RT on the Lennox Facbook page and Twitter page during the month of November, Lennox will donate $2 to men’s health issues. On Instagram, for every like or comment, Lennox will donate $2 as well. Please note that only those engagements on the Lennox FB and Twitter page will count, so be sure to follow/Like them and engage with their posts all month for a great cause!
Lennox will be posting content on all of their social channels throughout the month that provide information about men’s health issues. They also will be showcasing inspiring stories from men and women that have been affected by these issues, whether personally or by someone they know. The tagline, “Tell a guy you know” speaks to the Movember campaign and how its purpose is to educate others and create awareness around important issues.

Love the Movember campaign, and I love the cute mustaches! I think this campaign is so important because I know my husband hates going to the doctor, and preventative medicine is the best medicine.

This is really a nice way to show our love to the men of our lives, making them feel that we care for them and their health. I guess we can do it everyday, making them more aware that their health is important because they are important in our lives as well. Hopefully, many would try this kind of event, not just in your place but all around the world. Thanks for sharing.
