For my sister’s birthday I had my boys and nieces make her special homemade cards. Handprint and footprints make any greeting card extra special and are great keepsakes. We made 4 cards: a handprint fish, handprint flower, footprint butterfly, and a fingerprint heart.
These finger paint cards are great for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or any holiday or celebration.
Card-stock paper works best for homemade greeting cards and the finger paint takes a couple hours to dry. On the fish card I painted the ocean scene in the background, I added a stem and leaf to the flower, drew on the side view of a butterfly’s body with a black marker and I drew a heart for my son and he filled it in with finger paint.
These finger paint cards are very easy to make, kids love making them and the receiver will love them!

Love these ideas!! We always make our cards but usually I just have him color them and put stickers on. I love the hand print idea!!! So much more personal!

I love doing finger painting activities with my little ones. I’m always looking for different ideas for their hands and feet. I don’t think I’ve seen the hand fish idea, very cute! I much rather have my kids make cards than spend $5 on a card at the store.

I love to find fun activities to do with my 2 granddaughters (sisters). Whenever they complete an art project, I love to see the big smiles on their faces. Finger painting has always been fun for them and I’m sure they would enjoy making these greeting cards. I love the fish design. Thanks for sharing! ๐
