I love easy diy gift ideas! This idea from Abe’s Market is perfectly easy and they even a cute printable label!  Mix up a bag of fun for the holidays – no cooking required! With just a few vegan candies and snacks, plastic baggies and a festive tag that you can download and print, you can make these cute snack bags that are perfect stocking stuffers, secret Santa bonuses or class treats! 

Supplies
plastic baggies
label/gift tag (free download)

Ingredients
Dandies vegan mini marshmallows 
pretzel sticks 
vegan chocolate chips 
red licorice 
almonds 
goji berries 

Instructions 
Toss a handful of each ingredient into a plastic baggie. Seal the top. Download, print, and cut out the gift label. Fold, and staple the label to the top of each sealedbaggie.

My goal this year is to do one or two Fall crafts with my boys each week.  I prefer easy peasy, require few supplies and preferably supplies I already have on hand.  This Fall Paper Bag Tree meets all my needs, and my boys enjoyed making them.  Bonus, they turned out awesome and are now sitting on my mantel as Fall decorations!!!

I used the tutorial form Pikadilly Charm; she has excellent step-by-step pictures for this craft. I did modify it a little by adding wadded up paper for the base, so it is more sturdy and stands up better.  Also, I wrapped and glued down one branch strip around middle part/trunk to keep it from untwisting. 

Supplies:

• brown paper bag
• scissors
• newspaper page (or any wadded up piece of paper)
• glue
• something to use as fall leaves
  • red, brown, yellow and orange construction paper
  • red, brown, yellow and orange tissue paper
  • real fall leaves

Directions:

• Start at the opening and cut halfway down the bag. You will need to cut 5-10 times, depending on how many branches you want. 
• Put one newspaper page wadded up at the bottom for a sturdier base. 
• Twist the middle of the bag to create the trunk of the tree. 
• Use one lower branch piece and twist around the middle and glue the end to the trunk. This will keep the middle together and not come untwisted.
• Start twisting your stripes/ branches.
• Glue leaves on branches and base of your tree. 
  • I used ripped pieces of construction paper for mine. 

The Fall Paper Bag Tree is an easy Fall craft that a toddler can do but is fun for kids and adults!

DIY Toad Costume 

I am redecorating my guestroom and I found out decorations can cost way too much. I decided to get crafty and make some!

You can make cute wall decor out of spare wood laying around and/or pallets.

I cut the wood to the size I wanted, arranged and nailed, paint/stain, then painted them to look distressed and last I added a cross from hobby lobby for $4.

The distressed look is easy to do:

1. Sand small areas you want to stand out.

2. Paint those spots and let dry. (I used a teal color to match the cross)

3. Rub with paraffin wax ( crafty candle wax at hobby lobby for $3 comes with 3 squares plenty for extra projects) on the areas so the top coat will come off and the under color will show.

4. After that run a piece of Sand paper over the wood so the under paint will show.

That’s it! Now you have a cheap, easy and pretty wall decor!

It’s time to dress your kids in festive pjs and start a new holiday tradition! This was the first year we have made our own cinnamon ornaments and it was super easy and made my house smell amazing! I didn’t even have to go to the store because I had all the ingredients in my pantry! My boys had so much fun and I loved their choices of Christmas ornaments: dinosaurs, bones, trophys and so on! Boys will be Boys! They especially loved adding the glitter. They went a little Glitter Crazy but it was fun! I hope you give this a try!

Ingredients: (Makes 12 regular size cookies/ornaments)

• 1 cup ground cinnamon
• 1 cup applesauce
• 2 Tbsp of school glue
• 1 Tbsp ground cloves *optional
• 1 Tbsp ground nutmeg *optional

Supplies:

• Mixing Bowl
• parchment paper
• rolling pin
• cookie cutters
• straw
• baking sheet
• string and decorations

Directions:

Preheat oven 200°

Mix all ingredients in a bowl by hand for a couple minutes and roll into a ball.

Sprinkle cinnamon on your rolling surface so it won’t stick.

Use rolling pin and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and use a straw to make a hole at the top.

Place on baking sheet (I put parchment paper under mine) and cook for approx. 2 hours, or you can air dry in sun for 4 or 5 days.

After dried and cooled down decorate and then add string!
